Moses must have been totally impressed when God appeared to Him in a burning bush that didn't burn up. Things that leave a lasting impression are not always found where you'd expect.
Here's some questions based on the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the Peanuts comic strip. 1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world. 2. Name the last five Australian cricket captains. 3. Name the last five winners of Miss Australia. 4 Name ten people who have won the Nobel Prize. 5. Name the last 5 Academy Award winners for best actor or actress. 6. Name the last 5 World Cup winners.
The point is, none of us remember all the headliners of yesterday. These were no second-rate achievers-they were the best in their fields-in their day. But the applause dies, awards tarnish, achievements are forgotten.
Here's anotherbetter-quiz: 1. List a few teachers who really helped you through school. 2. Name three friends who were there for you in a difficult time. 3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile. 4. Think of three people who have made you feel appreciated and special. 5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
I bet you found that easier. The lesson is clear: the people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money or the most awards. They simply are the ones who care the most. Do you leave a lasting impression?
