'He knows where I am going.' Job 23:10 NLT
Do you get fed up with people asking you things like: 'What are you going to do when you grow up? Are you going to university? What career path are you taking?' Do you feel pressured into having to answer when all you want is to shout back, 'I don't know, please stop asking me!'
Do you feel pressured by your boyfriend or girlfriend who wants you to 'prove' your love by having sex; your friends who want you to solve your 'down' feeling by taking drugs or getting drunk; or others who say you have to stick up for yourself by using your fists?
Does life sometimes get a bit too much? Do you get confused, does your head hurt and do your insides scream: 'Leave me alone! I just don't know!'?
There's a book in the Bible named after a man called Job, whose life became unbearable: 'Darkness is all around me; thick, impenetrable darkness is everywhere.' (Job 23:17 NLT) His mind was confused by circumstances and his friends' opinions. But Job knew in this muddled mess that he could completely trust God. 'He knows where I am going,' Job said. He knew he could trust God to help him out of his muddled mess. He just had to stick with God, living life His way. The same is true for you today.
