'The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.' Psalm 84:11 NLT
Soooo… here we are halfway through 2015. Time to take stock. Feel as though you’ve taken some good steps forward so far? Maybe some of it’s been hard. Know what? Every day is perfect for a fresh start. ‘...His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.’ (Lamentations 3:22–23 NIV) Messed up? God knows. His arms are still wide open. Been hurt? God heals. Every morning He’s waiting with new refreshment, new strength for the day, new compassion. Yet it’s frustrating when you feel like you’ve done your bit, and... nothing. You’ve sent up prayers but nothing’s changed. Still you can be sure of this: God has heard every prayer. Psalm 56:8 NLT goes as far to say, ‘You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.’ God feels your pain. He meets you in your pain. But He knows why sometimes He gives a ‘yes’, sometimes a ‘wait’, and other times a ‘no’. ‘The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.’ (Psalm 84:11 NLT) God hasn’t overlooked you or preferred someone else. ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.’ (Romans 8:28 NIV) Leave the hurts of the first half of the year to past history. And now look forward to the rest of 2015.
